Teaching and learning strategy for the study of the characteristic elements of the parabola

Abstract
The present work shows a didactic strategy to innovate the staled teaching-learning process of the parabola, in the general high school Jose Clemente Orozco of Tehuacán, Puebla, México. The proposal is structured with different activities that take place in sixteen one-hour sessions of 60 minutes each one. The results obtained in each activity show the gradual process of learning. Finally, it is pointed out that the students applied the knowledge acquired in the construction of a solar parabolic cooker and this work shows the evidence of the efficient and effective operation of the proposal as well.
