Abstract

This article makes a brief journey through the history of the concept of function that shows us the different stages and obstacles that the concept had to go through before arriving at the modern concept of function, this analysis allows us to obtain some pedagogical ideas for teaching the same concept. We will also mention some results of research in mathematics education regarding the concept of function, which have made it possible to identify the difficulties that the student goes through and the conceptual errors that he acquires when studying this concept. Thus, as the different aspects and components that are required to understand it.
