Abstract

The concept of derivative is imperative in the realm of physics.  However, frequently in his teaching, this concept and others appear hastily, outside of any didactic context. The historical approach that has been given to related concepts can contribute to students' understanding. In addition, the information and communication technologies used to model phenomena allow the organization of networks and the promotion of virtual laboratories.  In this way the students will have a great variety of approaches both to understand the physical phenomena and the language in which they are explained. In our case, it is intended to discuss some issues in which the need arises to use the derivative to describe different physical behaviors.  It is also our intention to propose less traditional didactic strategies that take advantage of the use of digital technologies as video recording, video- analysis by smartphones, sensors, inter alia to teach both the physical and mathematical aspects of the subjects studied.
